Mozilla has patched 9 Firefox vulnerabilities, 6 of them marked as critical. A critical rating means that an attacker could use that vulnerability to compromise a computer and then plant even more malicious software onto the compromised computer.
Mozilla is highlighting the inclusion of a new feature that will allow the browser to continue functioning whenever certain plug-ins stop working properly. This feature currently only works with crashes from Adobe's Flash Player, Apple's QuickTime and Microsoft's Silverlight plug-ins, and is available only in Firefox for Windows and Linux. Mozilla is still working on adding the feature for the Mac version of Firefox.
Users can update to this latest version through downloading or by selecting "Check for Updates" from the Help menu in the browser.
